Overview
For the robot art show, we made what we believed would be art in the future when the humans have died off and robots have taken over. For the first 2 weeks, we learned how electricity is transferred through objects. We studied the magnetic fields by creating a lab and studying electromagnets and how they work.We then spent 2 weeks learning how to code with arduinos. We coded simple things like turning on lights in patterns and making buzzers play music. Once we had all of these different programs learned, we coded our own arduino. We had our arduino play the mcdonald's theme as a LiquidCrystal board had the text "My name is Ronald Mcdonald" and then "I'm lovin' it! :)"

Power Novato
Here is our presentation for our power novato project
For our Power Novato project, we were given the task of making a microgrid in order to power novato. For the first 2 weeks, we learned about how energy is created and even visited a microgrid to see it in action. We studied how energy is created by making our own simple wind turbines. We also studied the electrical currents that electricity creates, and created our own lab to study it. We were then given how much energy novato uses, and had 2 weeks to make a theoretical power grid. Our presentation covers what we came up with.

Reflection
In this project, one peak I had was completing work efficiently. When I needed to sit down and get work done, I did a really good job at doing it. The work was also not done poorly, I did it quickly and also had good work quality. Another peak I had was making sure other people had their ideas heard. I stepped back a little more in this project and had the group make a decision instead of taking over. I also didn't just have my group do the work as I said before.
One pit I had during this project was stepping up to be a leader. Stepping down for me is a win-lose situation. Yes i give people a chance to step up, but I also feel like I do not do enough work. I sort of felt like I just went with the flow and didnt really contribute any great ideas to this project, Overall, I think i did a fantastic job on this project and was very proud of the final result.

Concepts
Circuit: A complete loop of conductive material starting at one side(positive) of a power source to the other(negative)
Voltage: The potential difference from one end of a component to the other. It is represented with the variable v and measured in volts. You can calculate voltage using the equation v=IR, where I is current and R is resistance
Current: The "flow" of electricity through a conductive material. The current does notchange throughout a circuit. It is represented by the variable I and is measured in amps. You can calculate current using the equation I=v/R where v is voltage and R is resistance.
Resistance:The amount a current is slowed while passing through an obstacel. It is represented with the variable R and measured in ohms. You can calculate resistance with the equation R=v/I, where v is voltage and I is current.
Series Circuit: A circuit where all the components forma loop and are in series with one another. It must have all 3 components of a circuit.
Parallel Circuit: A circuit where it branches off into multiple paths. It must have all 3 component of a circuit.
Power: The rate electricity is transfered through a circuit. It is represented with the variable P and is measured in watts. You can calculate power using the equation P=IV where I is current and V is voltage.
Below are some commonly used lines when coding
void setup(): This command runs the code within its bracketed section once
void loop(): This command loops the code within its bracketed section, meaning it runs it forever.
pinMode(pinNumber, OUTPUT):This command sets a pin as either an output. This command goes in "void setup."
digitalWrite(pinNumber, HIGH): This command sets a pin as "HIGH," meaning voltage is running through the pin. You can use this to power electronics like LEDs or the buzzer in our show. This command goes in "void loop"
digitalWrite(pinNumber, LOW): This command sets a pin as "LOW," meaning voltage is no longer running through the pin. This is usually used to power off LEDs in patterns. This command goes in "void loop"
delay(1000): This command puts a delay for 1000 milleseconds between lines of code.
int: This command sets a value as an integer. For example, if you used the code "int ledPin = 7," then any time you put ledPin into the code, it will be set to 13. This command is put in "void setup"
//:Wheb you put two backslashes in front of any text, it means its a comment and will not be run as code. Comments are used anytime you want to add a note to anyone who is reading your code
